Arthur is one of our founding Partners of the Firm. Before joining the Firm, he practiced in various law firms including Messrs. Woo Kwan Lee & Lo, Messrs. Foo and Li, Solicitors, and Messrs. Ng & Co., Solicitors. He was also an ex-Legal Advisor to MTR Corporation Limited (66:HK) and an ex-Legal Advisor to K.Wah International Holdings Limited (173:HK).
Arthur is experienced in criminal, civil and land related matters, and is appointed as a Civil Celebrant of Marriages since 2017. Arthur is one of the few Notary Publics and China Appointed Attesting Officers in Hong Kong. He is also appointed by the HKSAR Government as an adjudicator/member in a number of Appeal Boards.
Arthur is an experienced litigator. His practice areas include criminal litigation relating to charges by police, ICAC and SFC, quasi-criminal litigation for offences under regulatory legislations, general civil and commercial litigation (company and shareholders’ disputes, personal injuries, contractual disputes etc.), debt recovery actions, family law practice, real estate investments work, first-hand development and project conveyancing work, land matters and tenancy disputes, employment matters, data privacy law and succession law (contentious and non-contentious).
Arthur is vastly experienced in criminal defence work and advising on regulatory investigations conducted by regulatory and enforcement authorities including the ICAC, SFC, HKMA and Commercial Crime Bureau. He undertakes a large number of cases (as advocate and as instructing solicitor) for the defence with the Legal Aid Department and the Duty Lawyer Service and has appeared in court for the Prosecution as a counsel-on-fiat. He is also experienced in Juvenile Court hearings (including Care or Protection Orders) and in the Coroner’s Court.
He is also a practicing GBA Lawyer attached to 廣東金陽律師事務所 of Mainland China.
